Remembrance: Dead Faith and Careless Revelations

faith reflection in dreams and visions
The testimony of Barbara Yoder in Prophetic Insight Charisma Magazine (March 16, 2011 issue) teaches us what happens to those who fail to reflect on the revelation of God and fail to properly act on the revelation of God. They say they know the will of God, they share dreams and revelations, but continue to question where they are and continue to say they are lacking in wisdom. Let’s look at this dream shared by Barbara Yoder, entitled “What Is This Revival We’re Looking For?”

False Distinction: Meaningless Sound

A good example of this is seen in Acts chapter 10 where Cornelius receives an angelic vision. He did not understand the meaning of the vision (the distinction of the sound) until he sent for chief apostle Peter. Chief apostle Peter knew the distinction of the sound, for Jesus said to the apostles that the Spirit will show you things to come. (John 16:13)

The Spirit of the Lord only gives the Church direction through His apostolic stewardship, as we see in the case of apostle Peter which who went to the Gentiles without the voting consent of the general assembly. For Peter, as the chief apostle, was given the key of David to open this new door. And upon the calling of His grace, he laid the stone of truth in the foundation of their hearts and another stone in the Prophetic Path for the Church. (Dream: Acts 10:22; Counsel: Acts 11:2,18; Key: Acts 14:27)

Signification: Blurry Signs

“There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without SIGNIFICATION.”(1 Corinthians 14:10)

The visitation of the Lord to them is as it was to Cornelius, to prepare their hearts to receive from Jesus’ apostle that form of doctrine and direction for the church. Now months later after the visitation of the Lord they lacked the wisdom to seek out the steward. In contrast, Cornelius was obedient to the vision and sought the counsel of the chief elder Peter the fisherman. This shows us that as time passes the impact of grace that accompanies the revelation diminishes in importance, and forgetting these things, they become immobilized and return to the comforts of those failing traditions of man. They, failing to reflect upon the revelations, forget.
  • “Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in REMEMBRANCE of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.”(2 Peter 1:12)
  • “By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in MEMORY what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain,” (1Corinthians 15:2).
  • “Do ye look on things after the OUTWARD appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ's, even so are we Christ's.” (2 Corinthians 10:7)
Fear in this verse shows the “cold feet” of commitment. Can we trust the integrity of John’s testimony? Will John deceive me? How can I really know that John has the truth? They are tormented when they behold the frailty of the situation and the vessel and not the faith.  For faith beholds the face of the Lord, and as Paul said, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today and forever,” which means that God is still using the things which are not, to bring to nought the things that are that no flesh shall glory in His presence.

The “moral-code” is the state of the unregenerate soul which carries the learning experiences of life. These experiences will prejudice the mind, and under this influence the person will make resolutions to improve those things which manifest a personality fault or fall short of the flattery of their peers to find equal footing and justification.

This is because the imagination cannot find rest in the law and so this person believes that nobody at this point can claim a pure conscience because they have not found it. This begins to work envy, strife, and divisions.

Those That Glory in the Flesh of the Aspiration Rejoice in the Moral-Code

Those that glory in the flesh of the aspirations rejoice in the moral-code. They find the honour of man for their labours. For people will honour and confirm the efforts of the imaginations (self-visions religious or nonreligious).

But faith is outside the realm of the flesh where God honours the loss of the aspirations which is crucified with Christ. Only covenant faith can bring those favourable results of the Father and be one with Him.Those that glory in the flesh are tormented by faith. God elected to smite the imagination of mans holiness in the principle of the moral-code by calling those of evident frailty which shame those of envy. This puts a spot on the garments of the self-righteous.

God selected to make known His displeasure of the moral-code by the examples of Samson and Rahab to represent Christ placing weakness as His strength.

False Brethren are Not Reflectors of Grace

Remember that false brethren are not reflectors of grace but projectors of religious aspirations and they always struggle with the debate in the conscience being tormented and so withdraw into murmuring speaking their doubts and sowing discord which is unjustified separation.

As Paul says about the doubtful and unbelieving (unconverted) that the lack of faith leaves the conscience unpurged of those doubts and so Satan’s shadow leads them into their theological perplexity which they will use as a defence against the truth.

The imagination becomes paralyzed when faith is present and the charity of the aspiration is mixed unequally having evil portions of the holy substance as the law teaches us. Under this influence they will feel vulnerable to grace and so will stand to their principle calling evil good and good evil.

All Liars Will Have Their Place in the Lake of Fire

All liars shall have their part in the lake of fire. When grace is resisted by the drive of the religious aspirations then the boasting of the record of man replaces faith and provokes the Lord to anger. The aspirations of man and his ruling principles do not carry God’s sanctification but are assigned to His wrath.

The parables of Jesus navigate around the logic of the moral-code because the sinners are seeking rest for their souls by vain things. Through the control of circumstances and events the sinners and the wicked seek a rest for their soul. And so with religious pursuits that set challenges to holiness by promises and commitments.

To the fearful and unbelieving is nothing pure. They don’t understand the witness of God and they are afraid and so stand in doubt being the counsel of their own heart which is a witness against them and so the counsel of the heart is manifested.
Perfect love casts out fear; but Grady is on a journey to master his fear by walking contrary to grace using vows of false integrity and smiting of promises and journey of commitments seen and heard by many conference speakers and the Christian media.

The Cold Feet of Fear: The Witness of Man

Let us explore more about this fear [withdraw] upon the report of God’s appointment of stewardship in restoration. This means ‘cold feet’.

The cold feet of the unconverted; they like the serenade and romance of the bible salvation (the prophecies about transition and the dreams and visions, etc) but not the commitment to build. Being lawless to government (unwed intercourse) they chose independence for themselves to walk freely about whether this relationship will be a benefit or not. Will stewardship and truth add to the boast of the imagination or can I set the terms for this relationship.

With this mind-set they wander for the more ‘perfect’ relationship. They do not desire to trust stewardship for the truth and so seek to discover something that will challenge their moral commitment to Christ without taking any loss to the boast of man.

The religious elite always project a personification of perfectness which is a false holiness. False holiness is outside of God’s sanctification whereas the angel of the Lord will not give witness in the anointing of the disobedient.Murmuring is the voice of the doubtful and fearful unconverted believer and in their state of mind this spirit of the world’s wisdom is tormenting them. They don’t feel the grace of God and they are agitated being in torment where the soul cannot find His rest.

A Biblical Warning: Remember This!

“Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of UNBELIEF, in departing from the living God.” (Hebrews 3:12)

Those that debated Moses stewardship murmured against God’s counsel to him. Though they could not see the angel talking to Moses, it was the voice of the Lord given to him for their instruction and refuge. By his ministry Moses was a refuge and a shield to them.

Why the Church is Confused
Much of today's teaching in the church is very confusing. There are now 38,000 Christian denominations whereas just a few years ago there were only 33,000 Christian denominations. God refers to one Spirit and one truth! There is time to reverse the damage Satan did to your faith.   more...
Paul Planted Apollos Watered- I Planted my Own Garden
Ever since God called upon Adamites to be responsible to His covenant He selected individuals to represent His kingdom. It is simple to understand that even though His choice of servants may possess frailties as Samson, David, Jephthah, Gideon and others in the book of Hebrews 11, yet God has always supervised the direction and substance of faith. It is a marvel to see how the Lord navigates around the standards of the gainsayers and makes the wisdom of man foolish. Satan knows that without stewardship the church has no eyes to see nor understanding of the order of His kingdom.   more...
The New Covenant is the Right Choice

When The Imagination Becomes Your Priesthood
Beware of the snares of the imagination Satan uses to feed the soul folly to fight the plan of God today. When religious people use the scales of the flesh to measure truth, the feelings about truth will always shift into the gears of their own logic. Such a perception will stand opposed to the kingdom of God and the spirit of the Pharisee will emerge again to smite Christ and mock His plan. The imagination muses in wonder and will perish in the application as the fowls of the air will devour the Word they hear but not assess as the true peril of great price.   more...
Dirty Faith: An Unclean Religion And Unsanctified Hope
