Having faith|Grace as the cognition for faith

When the Church left her first love and teaching pastors replaced living apostles the record of Christ was replaced with the written record (Bible). This means that Christian education centered upon teaching Christ through the text and not through the knowledge of the Truth to which the Spirit of God bears witness (John 6:63); thus, when the record of Christ is removed from faith so too is the witness and faith remains dead.

This is how Satan keeps the soul isolated from God and desolate of His virtue. By removing cognition from faith, Satan is removing the record of Christ; the result is how many Christians profess to living a defeated life as God cannot bear witness to that which is not of Him.

God set the cognition for faith in grace

By grace through faith are we saved (Ephesians 2:8). This means that the grace of God is defined as the communication, revelation, illumination, enlightenment and awakening of the soul to the revelation of Jesus Christ. Faith is the state of the soul in response to grace, thus faith is born in the heart through this submission to grace. Therefore the cognition for faith is set in grace.

Cognition is a word derived from ‘cognitive’ which means:

Cognition: the mental action or process of acquiring knowledge and understanding through thought, experience, and the senses.  [Reference: Oxford online dictionary]

Cognitive faith then is not blind faith or a projection for the aspiration but an understanding of the functioning of faith as a response to the voice of God (grace) by which process is birthed the life of Christ through our spiritual works.

Cognitive faith allows for the new man to grow in the womb of the covenant of Jesus Christ as God parents within us His image and likeness. This means that faith abides in a pattern of knowledge by which is gained both experience and understanding as the Spirit grants for man to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. Cognitive faith reflects this growth process and hits the mark reflecting Christ - cognitive faith does not fall short.

Cognitive faith is made able by grace in which man grows in the wisdom, knowledge and understanding of God. This means that faith is exercised with knowledge and application (word and deed) so as to reflect the choice of faith and not the instinctual reaction of the flesh. Faith needs to be cognitive in order for growth to take place that man may overcome self, Satan and the world. Cognitive faith is the key to this overcoming.

Cognitive faith reflects the mind of Christ

Earlier we said that cognitive faith is not blind faith. Now we can start to see why Satan seeks to remove cognition from faith. If Satan removes the knowledge and tools (record of Christ) from faith, faith will not bear the likeness of Christ.

Understanding this Satan keeps faith bound to the record of man’s own soul that man may draw upon self in his attempts to please God as seen in how faith becomes an emulation of text with man’s signature talents in an attempt to please God through false piety but anything less than Christ will fall short (Romans 3:23).

For faith to be living it needs the record of Christ to which the Spirit of God bears witness. This means that the pattern of truth (Jesus Christ) needs to overlay the pattern of iniquity in the heart for this circumcision of the heart to take place by which man walks by a renewed perspective through the effectual working of the Holy Spirit. This is not a once off occurrence that false doctrine would have you to believe with a single act of confessing faith; faith is a lifestyle of continuum in which is gained the mind of Christ as man continuously exchanges the principle for truth, aspiration for faith and covetousness for temperance.

Through faith we walk in the promise of a new man (Ephesians 4:24); this is what pleases God (John 15:8).

Video teaching that explains the simplicity of faith the way that God intended.
Cognitive faith requires forethought and choice and walks by the wisdom of grace. When one keeps covenant with God, one agrees to that which God had set for man to grow in the image and likeness of Christ. In keeping covenant with God one consents to this process of faith (Amos 3:3) and grace then carries that awareness for faith. Thus by our co-labor with the Spirit are we made one with the Father through the Son.

“And I gave him his free will: And I pointed out to him the two ways; light and darkness. And I said to him, “this is good for you, but that is bad” so that I might come to know whether he has love toward Me or abhorrence, and so that it might become plain who among his race loves Me.” (2 Enoch 30:15,16)

Cognitive faith carries the awareness of the environment in which faith is tested; it draws upon the knowledge and tools by which man overcomes the challenge that has been set to the will and it encompasses both the understanding and experience by the Spirit of the pattern for faith as set in Jesus Christ because cognitive faith draws upon the record of Christ.

Cognitive faith is a choice of will as seen in how the sovereignty of the will is exercised with grace that in such yielding man’s love for God is sealed by the product thereof (fruit).
