The Sons of Jesse: A lesson to learn from
It would be wise to reflect upon the examples God provides for us not to despise the one God elects to represent Himself in this world. The apostles referred to themselves as ambassadors for Christ.
God would give confirmations for His elect, even to the heathen for them, to strengthen their faith for the task God would assign for them to fulfil their lot.
Such examples we witness for Abraham in signs and wonders by visions and dreams through sinners as Pharaoh and Abimelech and to Jacob from Laban the Syrian.
We also witness the elder would serve the younger as in the case of Joseph and his brethren and David’s confirmation through Samuel before his brothers.
1 Samuel 16:10
“Again, Jesse made seven of his sons to pass before Samuel. And Samuel said unto Jesse, The Lord hath not chosen these.”
The rejection of Jephthah because of his birth and the challenges the fishermen faced from the religious elite of their time, the Pharisees and Sadducees.
“And Gilead's wife bare him sons; and his wife's sons grew up, and they thrust out Jephthah, and said unto him, Thou shalt not inherit in our father's house; for thou art the son of a strange woman.”
Why they cast the eye of envy upon the one God anointed for the job.
Here are those that stood first to be blessed but God didn’t anoint.
Would the world leaders accept a little child to lead them? No! But the church has to accept the one God elects for their oversight.
1 Timothy 4:12
“Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”
For Jesus challenged His apostles not to view ones abilities by the carnal eyes nor judge them unworthy of obedience because of age, gender, race or frailty. We must
see from the God-perspective of the anointing and not the position for ones aspirations to be confirmed as in the example of Korah or Balaam. The religious spirit held them back from seeing the glory of God.
“And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.”

These and many others stood in line to be anointed (to catch the cloak) to bring reform and restoration for the church. They wanted a king, so they put forth the best foot to volunteer hoping it would be they.
God was moving and they felt the urge to resolve the problems. But as Adonijah they refused to consider the one it was promised too. But let’s not make the mistake that Haman did taking into account his own position and credibility's.
Esther 6:6 “So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour? Now Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honour more than to myself?”
We know that Satan will take advantage of the pre-expected feelings and turn zeal into envy as he did to Cain. Satan’s mindset is to compare his powers to his rival and measure them to his own aspirations and casting the eye of suspicion on them. Then with ostentation belittle them with exaggeration and pretence as we witness in the case of Joseph, Moses and David.
“And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.”
“Is it a small thing that thou hast brought us up out of a land that floweth with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, except thou make thyself altogether a prince over us?”
1 Samuel 17:28
“And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab's anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why camest thou down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle.”
God sets the “stone” (man) for the challenge before His House, not because the others weren’t more proficient or skilled but to reveal His glory.
We should all learn by these examples and be found to stand against God nor rebel to stand at variance or to follow in emulation to overthrow.
1 Kings 1:26
“But me, even me thy servant, and Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and thy servant Solomon, hath he not called.”
We are exhorted to follow after righteousness accepting the terms and the Lord that makes them to His honour and glory. All these brethren felt the need to set order and to assist the growth of the Body of Christ. An honourable goal. But the timing and the choice wasn’t made known yet.
The Lord God has not Chosen These!
They all set forth their rod before the Lord. Only one budded and flowered and brought forth almonds as in the design of the candlestick to be the light. For Jesus referred to Himself as the Light (true light) and not the one made by hands.
“That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.”
I listed the names (not all) of those that put forth their rod (calling).

Though God did speak too many of these ministers and many are better qualified and financed to do the job, yet God selects the one He desires.
But all these ministers in one way or another affirmed the need for change. As John the Baptist, they did prepare the way for this new work. And for that I say thank you.

End times concern: on being known of Christ
In the presence of spiritual government through apostles first who feed the church of God with grace and truth which is pure and undefiled by the principle and aspiration of man, the church remains anchored to Christ through His government, truth, and Spirit. In the absence of living apostles, people turn the knowledge of Christ to focus upon the care of the flesh (social, economic, health) instead of being focused upon faith in Christ. This turning is not directed by God, does not follow after the Spirit of God, and restores the barrier to Christ through darkened reasoning. more...
From the Top of the Mountains
The finger of God is pointing your attention to this mountain of the House of the Lord. The angels are severing the Tares to bundle them and the Wheat carry the seal of God in their foreheads. Those that hear His voice, and the sound of the trumpet shall flow into the mountain of Christ. They are not sitting on their hands but are laboring and as precious stones will build and not tear down. The mating season of the Second 8th week is here, so put on your garments of righteousness that you will not be found naked. more...

|When the Messiah appeared outside of the expectation of the religious leaders this gave them the position to doubt Jesus’ claims, but Jesus confirmed His divine claims and time-line through the prophets Isaiah and Daniel.
