Standing for the Truth in an Age of Unbelief and Apostasy-Part 1

Truth in an age of unbelief and apostasy. The church is facing its greatest challenge ever. This is the hour of temptation. Satan has compromised faith on every level and Christians do not know what to believe anymore. In this 4 part series we are going to 4 different places to look at what unbelief is all about and from there get a good look at the roots of apostasy:

Part 1 – Do you believe in absolute moral truth or the absolute truth of Jesus Christ? Do you know the difference between the two?

Part 2 – Do you believe the fundamental knowledge of Jesus Christ or the foundation knowledge of Jesus Christ? Do you know the difference between the two?

Part 3 – Do you believe reciprocation is by the flesh or by the Spirit. Do you know the difference between the two?

Part 4 – Do you believe what you want about God, Jesus Christ, and salvation or do you believe God chose one doctrine of Christ? Do you know the difference between the two?

Absolute Truth of the Moral Code?

hat do you believe? Do you believe in absolute moral truth, or do you believe in the absolute truth of Jesus Christ? The trick is knowing the difference between the two and most Christians do not.

Satan’s greatest trick is to deceive the eye through similarities. He places absolute truth in the moral code hoping to disguise it as righteousness. Apostasy begins with the migration of truth from Jesus Christ to the moral code. God set a standard for faith to reflect Christ, which is true righteousness and Satan set the standards in the moral code.

When apostasy is in the church you’ll hear Christians talking about absolute moral truth in place of the truth of Jesus Christ. They want faith to reflect their moral center. Why morality? Why transition truth from Jesus to the moral code of man? It’s a simple issue of control.

Satan knows that man needs a truth he can control and manipulate. We know there must be absolutes in God’s kingdom. We know that God’s truth must be absolute. We know it in the very core of our being because God wrote one of His love messages in the conscience to tell us this is so.

Because religious tradition dominates the church, people cannot agree on the absolute truth of Jesus Christ so look for absolutes in other places. In walks the moral code and Satan volunteers it to be the look-alike Jesus, the faux righteousness. How unfortunate for man that he has a natural appetite for the moral code, how lucky for Satan that the morality of man is part of the original imprint of the soul. This has made it relatively easy for Satan to drive faith with moral absolutes.

Not knowing the difference between the moral code of man and the righteousness of Jesus Christ, man’s inclination is to choose the moral code.  It is part of his nature. It is part of the 5 facets of the flesh and so placing faith in the struggle of the moral code will sit right with most people.

The Moral Code of Man
What is absolute truth? Do you believe in the absolute truth of the moral code or the absolute truth of Jesus Christ? Do you know the difference between the two?
There are several differences between the moral code and the righteousness of Jesus Christ that will help the church make better faith choices. Let’s first of all look at authority.

The problem with using the moral code for authority is that a person has to draw from the record of his own soul for this standard to please God. The record of man is inferior to the record of Jesus Christ. God has not authorized the moral code to stand for Him. He authorized Jesus Christ to stand for Him. When one studies the 12 Elements of the Gospel is it easy to see the record of Christ and why God placed absolute truth in Him and not the moral code.

The 12 Elements of the Gospel are given to us to enter into Christ’s labor and the Spirit of God bears witness to Christ by giving substance to our faith that matches the likeness of Christ, not the likeness of the man in the moral code.

In addition, the moral code uses a prejudiced scale. It is difficult to keep the scales of the moral code balanced. On one end you have the Law of Moses and the Ten Commandments setting goals for your behavior and on the other end you have the Beatitudes setting goals for your behavior. You are constantly weighing these things for your righteousness and God says, “Come on! I am your righteousness. Let’s simplify this now.”

Your conscience will continue to stand as a judge to tell you when you missed the mark. And you’ll try to balance the scales by working harder to do the things your moral code approves of.

The Seduction of the Moral Code
The Seduction of the Moral Code is an excellent teaching by Apostle Eric vonAnderseck to further teach the church the hidden dangers of the moral code.
Ordinarily, the prick of your conscience would be a good thing, as this would alert you that the moral code is not a reliable standard. It changes and brings condemnation. But Satan is standing there with his finger on the scale to keep it balanced when it tips to either side. That is the “finger of the imagination”. What I mean by that is Satan plays with your head when the scales of justice seem to be tipping against you. He will say, “But if you try harder surely you will do better.” Or, “All you have to do is do is be a more caring person. God will help you do that.”

Satan knows that the virtue of Christ is of another kingdom and that the moral code of man is not designed to carry the virtue of Christ to perfection. The moral code does not have the power to assist the will. Satan knows that as long as he can keep the mind battling with the moral code for equity, he has you.

This whole scenario that is going on in the mind is because of apostasy. Satan shifted faith from Jesus Christ to the moral code a long time ago. Whenever a believer gets all fired up looking for absolutes, Satan offers many opportunities for the absolutes in the flesh of man rather than in the righteousness of Jesus Christ.

To stand for truth a believer must reject Satan’s counterfeit (the moral code) and again accept the absolute truth of the doctrine of Jesus Christ and come into one faith and one truth. The articles, lessons, videos, and ebooks on this site are designed to help you accomplish that.

Disambiguation: The moral code is one of the 5 facets of the flesh that man is addicted to because it follows the rhythm of his nature.  Satan exploits this addiction to the moral code to produce a counterfeit faith to beautify, fruit which falls short of the glory of God. True faith follows the righteousness of Jesus Christ where fruit is born in the soul through covenant contact with God rather than man’s labor with his moral code.
