How to pray to God

Prayer

Many people pray to God and wonder whether or not they are being heard, many people question their ability to pray to God and begin to lose hope in this form of communion with God when there seems to be a lack of reciprocation. How wonderful it would be to pray to God with the confidence of knowing that this form of communication is according to His Good pleasure.

(2Thessalonians 1:11)  Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:

These are the most commonly asked questions about prayer.

  •       What is prayer?

Prayer is our holy communion with God. Prayer is one of the sanctified spiritual contact points of the second covenant that allows us access into the presence of His grace.

  •       How to pray to God?

There are two ways to pray to God, in your own understanding which is to give thanks and to petition the Lord and the second is to pray to God in the spirit (in tongues).

  •       What to pray for?

(Romans 8:26)  Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groaning’s which cannot be uttered.

(Romans 8:27)  And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Praying in the spirit is the most important form of prayer, as we can see by the following scripture that when it comes to healing of our souls we know not the depth of the roots of iniquity and that it is the spirit of God that searches out the caverns of our souls. The will of God is that our souls be transformed into the likeness of Christ and it is the Spirit that makes intercession for us while Christ mediates the terms of our salvation according to the Law of Grace and Truth.

Many people pray to God in their own understanding asking God that if it is His will that He will change them and make them better people, but however sincere this plea may be, believers must come to the point of understanding that divine change is part of God’s plan for salvation and can only be effected  by the spirit according to the 2nd covenant commandments.

(1John 5:14)  And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

(1John 5:15)  And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

In the above scripture we can see one thing that is very important to know when we pray to God in  our own understanding. That our prayers have to be according to God’s will. This however does not include the clichéd saying, “God if it is your will please will you do this and that for me’.

When we pray to God like this we bring God down to the level of servitude instead of us being in service to God. We need to first do the will of The Father in order for our petitions to be according to His will. This comes down to the priesthood of Jesus Christ, the due order that must be followed in order for our service unto God to be accepted by Him.

(Hebrews 5:9)  And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

(Hebrews 5:10)  Called of God a high priest after the order of Melchisedec.

  •       To whom should prayers be addressed?

There is much debate around the topic of how to pray to God. It is strongly believed by many believers that our prayers will be made ineffectual if God be addressed in the wrong manner. From this single discrepancy many denominations have been birthed.

Understanding that Jesus Christ is the name given to represent all things pertaining to the yoke of the second covenant is vital for our salvation, hence the reason why this is the name above all names.

In revelations we see that the God shall make known unto the righteous His new name the name that shall represent the 3rd covenant and the next stage of God’s plan. In the first covenant (Moses) we see that when believers were to pray to God they were to address Him as Jehovah. In the covenant that God established with Abraham, He was to be addressed as God almighty.

To pray to God merely quoting the ever so popular phrase “in the name of Jesus Christ’ is not enough, we have to address God on the terms that the name of Jesus Christ represents, just as Moses and Abraham kept the terms of the covenant that each name represented.

  •       Why should we pray to God?

The simple answer to this question is that we must pray to God because it is one of the commandments of the second covenant.

(John 14:14)  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

(John 14:15)  If ye love me, keep my commandments.

When we pray to God in the spirit we  praise also  the depths of the mystery of His Christ. Christ is God's character, purpose and plan and through prayer we remain tethered to Him and take on the likeness of our creator.

The Truth About Toxins
Spiritually speaking the human diet is not good regarding the truth of conflict and the battles of the soul.
