The Restoration Of The Church

The government of God

The government of God

Many believers know very little about the government of God. God has given spiritual government for His church in the assisting of the saints and for the increase of His house.

The government of God consists of:

  1. Apostles
  2. Pastors
  3. Evangelists
  4. Teachers
  5. Prophets.

"Ephesians 4:11-12 And He gave some apostles, and some prophets; and some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers. For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ."

God does not go around appointing random preachers or “dominees” or popes. He appoints His spiritual government according to these five callings within His sanctified covenant.

Jesus Christ is the head of the church and the government is upon His shoulders.

"Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder:…"

Many believers say they have the truth and do not need the government of God. It is the same as any school or university. How will the students learn anything if they have no teacher of professor to teach them.

"Romans 10:14-15 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?"

That is why Jesus appointed His apostles back in the day. To teach them the truth of the gospel so that they may teach the converted believers and spread the gospel to the sinners. And how shall they preach, except they be sent?…

After all Jesus said “Go and feed my sheep”.

We cannot reject God’s government for then we reject God Himself.

The three fold chord consists of government, truth and Spirit. One cannot break this threefold chord, for then faith will be reprobate.

There are apostles and prophets etc, today just as there was in the times of Jesus. The important thing is that they have to be called and ordained by God and not self appointed.

When people appoint themselves as God’s government, the doctrine that they preach is defiled, for it proceeds from themselves and not from God Himself.

Why do we need apostles in the church?

The true and living apostles lay the foundation of truth in the heart. They give the church the truth of Christ which proceeds from the Lord Himself. The apostles are the foundation layers of the government of God.

The rest of the God’s government (pastors, teachers, prophets) build upon that foundation and assist the saints in growing in the grace of God. The evangelists work outside of the church to preach the gospel to the lost.

They teach the unconverted and from there they hand them over to the other offices that they might start working with grace and participate in their priesthood.

Salvation in Jesus Christ is not possible without the government of God, for how else will we hear the truth. Truth cannot be discovered, it can only be revealed.

How do we recognize the true government of God?

God’s true government  will preach the covenant of Jesus Christ. They will not preach about experiences that they had in their lives and then how they found the remedy in Christ.

God’s true government do not preach that God is a solver of problems, they preach that God is a respecter of faith and the healer of the soul.

They will preach the remedy of Christ in His covenant.

You will recognize them by the doctrine they teach. The doctrine they preach is pure, undefiled and testifies only of Christ. The doctrine they preach does not centre around tithing, communion or anything that proceeds from the covenant of Moses.

True prophets of the government of God will always confirm the apostles.

The true government of God will assist you in your faith and give direction for your faith according to God’s will which is in the covenant of Jesus Christ.

God’s government  is essential for our salvation. The true and holy knowledge of Jesus Christ proceeds from them. How will we have this knowledge if we refuse the chosen steward and the government of God?

By refusing the steward, we spit in the face of Christ and deny God Himself.

God’s government is here to assist you with any questions you might have about faith, the covenant of Christ or how to come into covenant with God.

May the grace of God abound towards you as you seek Him.
