Have you ever heard of the saying “too many chiefs and not enough Indians”?
What about ‘too many cooks spoil the broth”?
These are phrases most commonly used when there are too many people in a business or a family, organization or a church that want to lead instead of being led. They want to instruct without first being instructed.
Think for a moment about a group of builders being assigned to build a house without a blue-print to follow. Each one having his own idea, his own principles, his own work schedule etc.
How much constructive building do you think would take place?
How much chaos and confusion do you think this scenario could end up in?
In such confusion and difference of opinion how much division and strife do you think could take place among the body of builders?
Even Jesus said that a little leaven, leavens the whole lump.
Satan is smart enough to know that he cannot deceive with the obvious. A lie is not necessarily an opposite fact but merely a distortion of the truth.
All Christians are aware that Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light, but how many Christians understand the depth of what that means.
Satan disguises his lies through the precept of scripture; He covers his tracks by adding to them a religious scent that appeals to the moral-code of man by offering a solution to the issues of life.
What makes Satan’s lies so appealing?
As I mentioned before Satan’s lies are subtle.
Knowing the design of our souls and also knowing the inheritance that awaits those who walk by faith, Satan knows that the very best way to deceive man is to distort the very knowledge that paves the road of salvation.
Satan knows that being “chief” appeals very much to the design of man’s soul for although Adam lost the likeness of God’s character the image of God’s nature remained as a memorial of Himself and the inheritance that was promised to Adam.
This imprint of God’s nature that remained is what is known as the God code – The desire to control, dominate and to destroy.
Everything that Satan offers to man is in rhythm with man. Just as Satan offered to Adam a short-cut to divinity, he continues to elude man through the same avenue.
By not knowing the plan of God nor the time frame in which we will be able to resource the God-code in its full capacity, Satan continues to lead many Christians astray in their ignorance, that is why the prosperity gospel is so popular.
Truth unveils the deception
Many people reject truth much like a small child rejects vegetables. Sweets fulfill the pleasure but give no nourishment to the body.
However as the child grows up and transitions into adulthood, and learns more about how the body functions, learning that the right nutrients enable the body to function to its full capacity, through this knowledge the child begins to value the necessity of wholesome food and the childish perspective is changed.
(1Co 13:11) When I was a child, I spoke as a child; I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
The soul also needs the right nourishment to be able to reach the fullness of its potential.
Wholesome doctrine the covenant way
Many people think that they are in covenant with God by merely confessing all their sins and promising to no longer do those “bad” things. This is the same as the builder wanting to design the blue-print instead building according to the design of the masterbuilder.
(1Co 3:10) According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
(1Co 3:11) For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
The full potential of the soul is to reflect the likeness of Christ for Christ is the perfect reflection of God’s divine character.
The covenant of Christ is not only a place of healing for the soul, but the blue-print of our faith is the design of God’s House, the place of our eternal habitation.
God says that those who love Him must keep His commandments. God reveals His commandants to believers through His chosen stewards; this is a biblical pattern that has never changed.
God planned for there to be stewards of His Grace that would be able to counsel His people in faith; we see this tradition carried forth throughout the whole bible.
In order for us to steward His grace we need to first know what His grace is.
Grace is wisdom, knowledge and understanding that is according to the mind of God…
(1Co 2:16) For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
The Grace of God is not in sympathy to the needs of man, it stands only in confirmation of His Christ.
God appoints stewardship to maintain the purity of the gospel, when the gospel is kept pure then faith is kept pure. When faith is pure then it meet’s God’s expectation perfectly being the standard that He set in His Son, Jesus Christ.
Pure doctrine contains no leaven of man’s perspective; it preaches only to us the mind of Christ.
The difference between a true steward and a false steward is that a true steward joins himself to the headship of Christ. There are many people that have the calling upon their lives, however when directed into their own aspiration, remaining separate from the covenant, their calling is in vain.
By following their own blue-print they stand independent from the house of God.
God has not assigned his Government to rule over His people, He called them first to be servants in His house, that they might have the experience of His Grace to govern his sheep in righteousness.
(Isaiah 9:6) For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
“The knowledge of Christ shields us from Satan’s deception”.
