The transition of our hope from darkness to light is by the Spirit of holiness, which we obtain at the altar of Christ. It used to be that true hope in Jesus Christ seemed out of reach and that the things that were important to God, like holiness, could not be understood in this world.
If you are a believer in Christ and do not know how faith works or how to please God, it can leave you feeling shut out of God’s kingdom, like a stranger looking in, instead of an invited guest. Worse yet, you might feel you are food for the wolf, battling condemnation and fear, and struggling to get your faith on firm ground.
It is God’s wish to welcome you into His kingdom and to instruct you as a Father would His child. The first thing God does when you come into covenant with Him is teach you the ABC’s of His language so that He can communicate with you. Understanding how God defines grace will help strengthen your will for faith. When that happens your communication changes because you are no longer speaking of those things that held you in bondage, but of those things of Christ that liberate the soul.
When you come into covenant with God, God is claiming you as His own. He is rending you from Satan’s kingdom, ripping you out of Satan's hands. God uses the word “tearing” in Hosea 6:1 to tell us about this. He says, “Come and let us return unto the Lord; for He has torn, and He will heal us; He has smitten and He will bind us.”
This tearing first begins in the inner man. God first removes you from Satan’s kingdom and then removes Satan’s kingdom from the inner man. In Satan’s kingdom we were strangers to God, but once in God’s kingdom by covenant faith, God begins to heal and bind our wounds.
What you will learn in the covenant courses on this site is that God made a special environment of contradiction for you to exercise your faith and become strong. God wants you to know how to have strong faith like Abraham, experience deliverance as Samson, and teach you in battle as David.
Where you used to live the condemnation of Satan you will now live the righteousness of Christ. Where your language used to express the contradiction of this age, your language will express Christ. Your first design is of the flesh, but your second design is of the Spirit.
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Second 8th Week Ministries. I can attest that God’s love and promises in Jesus Christ are real and attainable. If it is your desire to also experience the love of God, please consider making this community your spiritual home.
Something the Lord ministered to me and I have kept close to my heart is that, “Home is where the hearth is.” God gave us many gifts in Jesus Christ to remind us of home. The most important gift is the Holy Spirit. The fire of the Spirit speaks to us of the kingdom of God where we now have our citizenship. Our names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life and as we stay faithful to God in covenant with Him, He will faithfully administer Christ to us and assure us that the eternal rewards of our faith await us in His bosom.
As a Teacher with the Apostles Today Network of the Second 8th Week it is my sincere desire and prayer that God will daily remind you that your fulness is in Christ. We are here to pray for you, pray with you, and to assist you to grow in the grace of God.
