Living Apostles Today | Restoring the Church Back to Her First Love

Return to your first love of God
Return to Your First Love
By Apostle Eric vonAnderseck
You would be shocked to learn what actually takes place at revival meetings under the guise of returning the church to her first love. What impels a person to go to a revival meeting?
It’s the same for each believer. They once felt a burning desire to know God. They once experienced a powerful awakening of grace that so filled their hearts, they felt  totally alive to God.

Hot Coals of Grace Turned to Cold Stones
Those hot coals of grace are now nothing more than cold stones and believers are left asking the troubling question, Where did the fire go? Where did the power go? How can I get that first feeling with the grace of God back again.
It made sense to ministers that in order to give believers another taste of the grace of God they’d need to recreate the circumstances under which the first taste of grace was experienced and hence the theme for all revival meetings – repentance – renewal – rebirth!
Every believer who is not in covenant with God will connect with the theme because their heart is empty and yearning for God’s presence and power. They are desperate to recapture those lost feelings. Every believer has a remembrance of that first taste of the grace of God and they want that rekindled.

Stimulating Repentance to Stimulate Grace
Now we can better understand the current (and past) trends in revival meetings and why the focus is on stimulating repentance. False ministers are wanting to bring believers back to their “first love”. Once I’ve explained to you why this is wrong, you’ll never be tricked into going to another one of those meetings.
Ministers have not been paying attention. When God restored the church to the covenant of Jesus Christ and transitioned faith to the stewardship, knowledge, spiritual tools, and priesthood of the new covenant, grace also transitioned.
Believers are now beginning to learn that grace for salvation is different from grace for growth. The powerful awakening and burning zeal for God experienced upon the first impact of grace upon the soul is called “grace for salvation”. The purpose of grace at this stage is to draw faith from the heart, to prepare the heart to enter into covenant with God.
When in covenant with God, grace is then transferred to the spiritual tools that express Jesus Christ. Grace as this stage continues on, but with a different task. The grace of God is just as tangible, just as powerful as your first experience with the grace of God, but it is repurposed. Rather than work to awaken the soul to repentance, the grace of God now works with truth in the anointing to form Christ within the heart, that the soul might be prepare in fruit to be received of God.
Message in Tongues and Interpretation
July 3, 2015 my wife, Teacher Maria, spoke out in a message of tongues in her sleep and then gave the interpretation. She was addressing a crowd of people imprisoned in the false church. God was speaking through her to bring them back to the true steward of His knowledge to draw them back to God and the covenant He established in Jesus Christ, which is their first love.
In the dream that followed the Lord revealed that many were seeking out the true stewardship, asking for help to reverse the effects of the birth control they had been taking. This dream speaks of the church awakening to the realization that despite extensive evangelism programs and revivals and emphasis placed upon inviting the presence of God, the soul remains empty of His virtue.
When Grace Stops Short
You should know what happened to you. When grace stopped short of bringing you into covenant with God, you stop experiencing it. This should help you to appreciate what “first love” is truly about.
First love is not the first impact of grace, but rather covenant. You learn through the apostles’ doctrine the terms of God’s covenant, the tools of the covenant, and the priesthood of the covenant and how to love God by keeping these new commandments of grace and truth to allow the Holy Spirit to create in the soul the divine nature.
When a person does not receive this instruction in doctrine they speak from the point of their feelings and the pretense of Satan’s promises. Never understanding what the grace of God is and what it does, a minister describes his own feelings as if he is describing the anointing.
God draws you to Himself to bring you into a relationship with Him that He initiates and sustains. But, when grace stopped short of the covenant, you didn’t receive this much needed instruction in doctrine. Meaning, the foundation of truth has not been set in your heart.
Satan’s Stand-in for Grace: The Placebo Grace
What Satan does from that point on is masquerade the flesh in thousands of different ways to be a stand-in for grace. He gives the church doses of placebo grace to keep believers strung out on false grace and to keep them coming back for more.
When false ministers talk about the anointing, they’re trying to find God, trying to recapture that first feeling by calling down this fire from heaven. But as Moses said and Apostle Paul confirmed, He is not above that you need to call him down and he is not beneath that you need to call him up. The anointing is in the steward God appointed to lead His people through instruction of knowledge. (Romans 10:6-7)
Deuteronomy 30:11-13
11 For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.
12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
Following the Unction of Your Feelings
The unction of the Holy Ghost is not impulsive. It follows the steward God called and prepared with truth. This is why Jesus said, “They shall believe on me through their words.” (John 17:20) Through instruction in the apostles’ doctrine, the Lord is giving eyes back to the church. You will see Him through His knowledge.
False unction: The false unction was taught to the church as sensory perception. If you feel good about something this was said to be the “Green Light” from God to go ahead and follow through on this impression. If you felt bad about something or felt a “check in your spirit” this was perceived as a “Red Light” from God. This false unction was taught by unsanctified stewards who taught the church to discern from their feelings.
The false unction is this inordinate affection, this impulsive passion with scripture. Most take offense against God’s rebuke as He corrects these efforts to fabricate His grace. They ask, What are you saying, that I don’t know God? That my zeal is not real? God’s response is as it always has been, As long as you’re out there, your eyes are gazed upon the wilderness. You have to look upon My altar.
If your love of God is not born of the Spirit, it does not become a living reality, and your faith is forced onto a lifeless journey where you’re in the wilderness, looking for anything and everything to shock it back to life.
When faith is born of the aspiration and principle of man it needs to continually sup upon this moldy bread to be sustained. The problem is that the aspiration and principle leaves you alone, empty and lonely for God, yearning for His presence.
The trend in revival meetings is rebirth (again-and-again-and-again) rather than covenant. You’re teaching the church to remaining in a baby state. This helps us to understand what makes a minister “false”. A false minister claims to give the people an injection of God’s presence and power when in reality h/she is working with a seducing spirit to restrict the growth of the church. You cannot give God’s people the knowledge you do not possess.
When the Seal of the Spirit Follows Grace
Now that God has granted you repentance through grace and declared you righteous through faith, you need to become one with Him. You need to be JOINED to God to begin a covenant relationship with Him.
The baptism of the Holy Spirit, evidenced by tongues, joins you to God and is the SIGN and SEAL of your adoption into God’s family. It is the only mark which identifies your salvation. It’s not just any mark, but it is a token of Himself, that spark of the divine power that is needed to craft the divine nature within your soul.
God seals your faith with a token of Himself as a sign that you belong to Him. God engrafts his Holy Spirit within you to put His stamp of approval upon your faith and to claim you as His own. Christ is IN you through this seal.
This gift that God gives to you to seal your faith mirrors its author just as much as a seed is a mirror of its parent. An apple seed takes on the image of the tree from which it was taken. So when you plant the apple seed it’s going to birth a likeness of its parent. When God engrafts His Spirit within you it is for the purpose of developing Christ within your soul.
Abraham is called the “father” of faith because God set him up as an example for faith to follow. “And he [Abraham] received the SIGN of circumcision, a SEAL of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also.” Romans 4:11
The SIGN that God has accepted your faith and joined you in covenant to Him is the baptism of the Holy Spirit, witnessed by the evidence of tongues. This “seed” is planted within you to begin to restore your soul to the image and likeness of Jesus Christ.
You did repent of sin under the influence of grace as grace drew faith from your heart. God did declare you righteous. Now your repentance is sealed by this token of God’s power. Even as Jesus commanded. . .
"And being assembled together with them (Jesus) commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which said he, you have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but you shall be BAPTIZED with the Holy Ghost not many days from now." –Acts 1:4-5
The baptism of the Holy Spirit. . . is WITNESSED by speaking in tongues and is given to all.
"And they were ALL filled with the Holy Ghost, and (they ALL) began to speak with other TONGUES as the Spirit gave them utterance," –Acts 2:1-4
The baptism of the Holy Spirit. . . is the SEAL of your faith.
"And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby you are sealedunto the day of redemption." – Ephesians 4:30
The baptism of the Holy Spirit. . .  takes place AFTER you believe.
"...After yebelieved you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise." –Ephesians 1:13
The baptism of the Holy Spirit. . . is the POWER to become the sons of God, to be born again.
"But as many as received Him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on Him name." –Jn.1:12
The baptism of the Holy Spirit. . . you are now IN Christ.
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." - 2 Corinthians 5:17
The seal of the Spirit is the token of God Himself. God attends upon the servants of righteousness. His fire attends upon your faith. You must receive His baptism. For John indeed baptized with water, but Jesus, He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire. -Matthew 3:11
Entering into covenant with God you enter in with nothing more than that first token which God issued to you to enter into his house with. Seeing that you have expressed faith in God, he gives you that token. With this token He bonds you to Himself with the promise of life in Christ. The knowledge that cleanses you is your baptism of water. You’ll need to be continually cleansed by His Word to prepare your soul to be fruitful.
If you find yourself saying, But I did receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of tongues and I still don’t experience the divine change or the presence of God the problem again is that you simply lack instruction. The foundation of truth has not been set in your heart.
Only those apostles called, prepared, and sanctified by God can give you the true knowledge of the new covenant. Do not delay to come to Him on His terms.
